The last time I was sick, my grandma got mad at my sister for making me vegetable soup instead of chicken soup. I told her if my sister had made me chicken I wouldn't have eaten it. Her response was "When you're sick, you eat chicken soup!" like it was the eleventh commandment.
What do you think is good for an ailing veggie.

Re: the chicken soup of veggies.
Wed, August 22, 2007 - 5:33 PMMiso soup, with a little bit of a spicy kick, and either napa cabbage or noodles in it if you want something more filling!
Start out with: boiling water, white miso
spices you could use (but don't use all of them :)
* soy sauce
* spicy chili paste
* grated/ground ginger
* sesame/chili oil
* sesame seeds
* dried seaweed
from there you could add:
* shredded napa cabbage
* cilantro leaves
* bean sprouts
* shredded carrot
* mushrooms
* any other soup veggie
* diced jalapeno for a spicy kick
* rice/udon noodles
mix and match, it always makes me feel good, and without any noodles it will be easy on an upset tummy.
